Configure Wi-Fi Settings on a Nano-PC2 (MicroSD)

These steps will help users configure the Wi-Fi Settings on a Nano-PC2 device using a MicroSD Card.

Configuration requires a MicroSD Card Reader (not included).  Nano-PC2 only supports 2.4 Ghz Wireless Networks.  Here are additional Wireless Network Requirements.

Configure the Setting File (setting.conf)

  1. Download the following setting.conf file  (If the Kuusoft Support Team emailed you a pre-configured Setting File, skip to Step 3)



  2. Open the setting.conf file with Notepad, NotePad++, TextEdit, or another Text Editor 
    1. Replace WiFiNetworkName with your Wi-Fi Network Name 
    2. Replace WiFiPassword with your Wi-Fi Password
  3. Save the configured setting.conf file to your Desktop

Apply the Setting File

  1. Unplug the Power Cable from the DC-IN port of your Nano-PC2 (The Nano-PC2 can stay connected to your TV)



  2. Eject the MicroSD Card from the Nano-PC2 (located on the side of the device)
    1. Push the MicroSD Card inwards lightly and it will click and eject outwards
    2. Remove the MicroSD Card



  3. Insert the MicroSD Card into your MicroSD Card Reader (not included)
  4. Copy the configured setting.conf file onto the root of the MicroSD Card
    1. This was configured in the previous steps
  5. Remove the MicroSD Card from your MicroSD Card Reader
  6. Insert the MicroSD Card back into your Nano-PC2 (located on the side of the device)
    1. Push the MicroSD Card inwards lightly and it will click
    2. Verify the MicroSD Card is secure



  7. Plug in the Power Cable into the DC-IN port of your Nano-PC2



  8. The Nano-PC2 will update the Wi-Fi Settings and will automatically reboot your device.
  9. You are done!
