Introduction

In this article, we will go over details on how to use Smart Menu Editor Linking (SME Linking) feature.

With Smart Menu Editor Linking (SME Linking), you can easily centralize your SME menu board. It will render the same behavior as display mirroring on a surface level. However, this should not be confused with display mirroring. The following table provides a quick comparison between display mirroring v.s. SME Linking.

How to use SME Linking?

To create SME linking from one license to another. First, you must obtain the Sharing ID from your primary menu board.

To obtain the Sharing ID:

  1. Go to Smart Menu Editor(for the primary menu)

  2. Select the desired menu board, click on Action and then click on Copy Sharing ID.

    A notification will appear to inform you the ID has been copied to your clipboard.

Once you have the Sharing ID, you can start linking the primary menu board to the desired license.

To link to an existing menu board:

  1. Go to Smart Menu Editor(for the license you wish to link to the primary menu)

  2. Click on the Link to an existing menu board

  3. Paste the Sharing ID into the text box and click Link Now to complete the linking.
